Mini Enduro Rules

* The idea is to build a “Mini Enduro” car with limited money and little time.
* With a little help you will be able to build it in a weekend.
* If you have any questions or concerns...ask...don't assume.
* Please think safety it is the registrants responsibility.

These cars will run two heats pending car count and a feature race with mandatory hit to pass.

Open to:
* 4 or 6 cylinder vehicles
* 116” wheel base
* front or rear wheel drive allowed
* fuel injection allowed
* 1/4 ton trucks and mini vans not allowed.
* If the vehicle has a sun roof it has to be replaced with a metal patch panel in the same thickness as the roof to fill the hole.

* ABSOLUTELY ZERO MODIFICATIONS TO SUSPENSION OF ENGINE. IF IT DIDN'T COME FROM FACTORY WITH IT...IT IS NOT ALLOWED.

* No aftermarket parts allowed
* factory street tires/street rims – nothing over 8 inches wide.
* 1 inch lug nuts recommended, especially right side.
* No gutting or reinforcing – except to allow for roll cage/roll over post or “c” channel along driver's door.
* Cage is not mandatory but if you so decide, 4 point only with no bars extended thru the front or rear firewalls.
* Minimum of two 4 inch “c” channel, or grader blade, along driver's side, securely fastened from “a” pillar to ahead of rear wheel well. Welded or bolted accepted, SPACED 12” APART from CENTER of door.
* Minimum of one 4 inch “c” channel, or grader blade, along passenger side securely fastened from “a” pillar to ahead of rear wheel well. Welded or bolted accepted. Attached at centre of door.
* Roll over post to be a minimum of 1 3/4 .095 pipe with a 12”x12” plate welded on both sides, then welded or bolted (3/8” bolts minimum) to the roof and floor ( see
diagram).
* “b” pillar horizontal pipe to be a minimum of 1 3/4 .095 pipe, with a 6”x6” plate welded on both sides, then welded or bolted (3/8” bolts minimum) to “b” pillar. This pipe Must be at the level of your shoulders or above.
* No lock rear diff's
* driver side window net or cut-able material mandatory.
* Fire extinguisher mounted within drivers reach.
* Disable driver's side air bag.
* Fuel cells permitted; however, rear firewall is required – seal all openings to the trunk (rear seat area)
* Factory gas tank can remain in its location and must not leak; if using factory tank, no firewall is necessary.
* Water must be used as coolant. NO ANTI-FREEZE

Remove all:
* Plastics, burnables, glass (except windshield), unnecessary rubber, mirrors, cladding, ALL VEHICLES MUST BE CLEAN INSIDE DRIVERS COMPARTMENT AND IN TRUNK. If not you will not be allowed on the track.
* Plastic outer body panels to remain.
* You may need to modify fender to accommodate driver's side “c” channel on some vehicles

* Dash to remain in tact.
* Driver's seat to remain intact – RUSTY SEAT MOUNTS MUST BE REPAIRED – seat MUST be secured. THIS IS CRITICAL.
* Racing seat preferred.
* Weld or chain doors shut.
* Hood chained or hood pins installed – remove the factory latch
* Battery can be relocated but must be in plastic or rubber container securely fastened and covered.
* FIRE RETARDANT COVERALLS MUST BE WORN BY DRIVERS – NO ORDINARY COVERALLS.
* D.O.T or Snell approved helmets.
* Neck collar or Hans type device highly recommended.
* Dressing up of cars highly recommended NO VULGARITY

If you are building – here are some tips
* Heat is a killer – be certain Radiators are functioning as best as possible.
* The race will eat up brakes – new brakes are a good expense
* Cars that have been sitting, will have belts and hoses that may need replacing DO THAT AHEAD OF TIME
* Bring extra batteries/tires and rims/fluids (oil + transmission)
* Mechanical gremlins take the fun out of it; try to eliminate as much uncertainty as
possible before the event
* This is meant to be a fun event – it is not Nascar.
